Grown together, harvested together, pressed and fermented as one - this wine is 80% Semillon and 20% Sauvignon Blanc. The fruit and breath from the Semillon, knits seamlessly with drive and delicate aromatics from the Sauvignon Blanc. While intended to be enjoyed fresh and young, this wine will continue to gain complexity if cellared for the next few years.
Lake County rises high above the north end of the Napa Valley, over the Mayacama Mountain range. Classic Bordeaux varieties dominate vineyard plantings in this bucolic agricultural basin. Warm summer days are moderated by the cooling thermal mass of Clear Lake - California's largest natural lake. Since 2012, Little Frances has been sourcing Semillon (and now also Sauvignon Blanc) from a single vineyard owned and tended by three generations of the Luchsinger family.
